I also dislike the ones with all the spaces, or just plain silly ones like eminemfan as mentioned just annoy me.

Also I dislike people that try to use a name, and see that its taken, so they add letters, I've seen varius Final Fantasy Characters with letters just added in, and its a tad annoying, OK, i'll admit that when I made my ranger I tried to rip Vincent Valentine, but when that was taken I just made up a new name instead.

I seem to have develeoped a distinct naming ritual that works for me, that pretty much stops me getting stupid names. The first name becomes a Japanese word similar to the profession, so my warrior is Sinwa, or Hero/legend, and my monk is Arakin, Monk who has reached Nirvana. and I keep a constant surname of Nagisa, of the Seashore, and now my names arnt silly any more

The name restrictions are there for a reason. While I hate not being able to fully use my native language, I know that most players won't even have an "ä" on their keyboard.

I kinda agree and disagree with most comments here, I understand people have issues with IGNs but it can be hard and annoying when people already have the name you really had your heart set on

Whats wrong with Lord? It screams noob huh? You dont have to bash my name because you are insecure. Its ok, one day you will hit puberty, and all of that will wash away.

bloody hymen is pretty graphic if you ask me. You get plenty of body part related names, most spelled different... hairy ballz, big nutz, etc. But bloody hymen is, well, thats just unsettling.

Not that this is a bad name but more funny/rage insiting was:Bill Clinton,whats next a John Kennedy/George Bush?just the mention of old /current presidents or any former leader of any country seems to say" i want to start a huge debate on politics in a fantacy game".while i dont care about these debates unless they are extremly offencive,why insite them?i play to escape the real world as i think many others do as well.

(im sure that the above player is a good one not bashing his/her skills in any way)

and religious names/guilds lets keep personal beliefs out of a game that is supposed to be fun.......remember this is guild wars not jyhad.

There is a guildie who had a ranger by the name of "I Need to Pee". Needless to say he got his account suspended till he changed his name for that char.

For me the most annoying names are those that name themselves after rappers or band names. I came across "2Pac" and "Mud V A Y N E" just last night at warcamp. And of course there are others who are obvious fans of those groups or artist so they try different annoying variations of the same thing. Ugh. And for the most part, the other people in groups that I join for mission probably don't like it either because there are always others who say stuff like "Don't pick Lil jOn please...".
